No matter how well you decorate your home this Halloween, if you’re having a get together you might want to have some party games ready to keep your guests entertained. Here are some of our favourite Halloween party ideas to awaken the dead!
Apple bobbing is a traditional game for the season, but can be messy with the water (or slime if you’re really Halloween-y!) splashing around. Another messy one can be a pumpkin carving competition for the best Jack-O-Lantern, so if you plan on doing either of these, make sure you have something covering the floor and surfaces. Our Scene Setters can be great for this purpose, as well as our themed table cloths.
A fun game for both children and adults is the ‘Wrap the Mummy Race’. As the name suggests, all you need for this game is a volunteer to become the ‘mummy’ and some rolls of (cheap) toilet paper to wrap him or her with.
Another race game which may involve leaving the premises (so best for adults) involves a checklist of Halloween items and a camera or phone with a camera. Small teams must go and find the items and get pictures taken with them within a time limit. This game can be as simple or as elaborate as you like. Similarly you could use your Halloween party supplies hidden around your home and/or garden to create a treasure hunt for people to find.
Finally, if you’ve got some Halloween music, why not try some Halloween musical chairs?
